The AK-101 ( Russian Автомат Калашникова АК-101 Awtomat Kalashnikowa Model 101 ) is a Russian assault rifle in the 5.56 × 45 mm NATO caliber .
Overview
The weapon is part of the AK-10x series, a revision of the weapons of the Mikhail Kalashnikov from the Ischmasch company (today the Kalashnikov Group ), Russia. The AK-101 is based on the AK-74M, a further development of the AK-74 and is intended for export.
technology
To improve export opportunities, the AK-101 was designed for the “western” caliber 5.56 × 45 mm NATO . In addition, the mounting rail for attaching visors was made so that both Russian and NATO visors can be used. The shaft of the weapon can be folded down to the left and locked on the weapon. The 30-round curve magazine of the weapon can be made of both plastic and metal. The AK-101 can fire single or continuous fire. The functionality and structure of the weapon are the same as the AK-74.
