Harald von der Ems
Harald von der Ems (born May 9, 1960 in Unna ) is a German television travel journalist and television presenter .
Life
Harald von der Ems began his journalistic career with a traineeship in the early 1980s, initially in the print sector as a photo editor, before switching to radio at the end of the 1980s. Here he moderated various morning and lunchtime magazines as well as other radio programs before becoming studio manager and managing director. In addition, he remained loyal to the print product for several years as a freelance journalist and editorial manager. Then he got into television in the early 1990s, where he started as an editor and reporter in the news sector and then switched to the travel sector.
Since then, Harald von der Ems had only been on television for travel, wellness and health issues. His news and travel pictures, TV reports and his TV travel magazines were u. a. can be seen on RTL , ORF , MDR , ProSieben , Das Erste , TW1 , NDR , n-tv and other European television stations. Since the mid-1990s, Harald von der Ems has been visiting new holiday regions in Europe with the travel magazine tourTV every month, the main destination being between the Alps and the Adriatic .
His production company tourTV, which since it was founded in 1984, has produced well over 11,000 contributions for TV, film, radio and the Internet, periodically and largely monothematic TV travel magazines and TV travel reports, both for private and public broadcasters, and works as a media partner for tourism. Harald von der Ems also planned a series of 30-minute documentaries about the cultural area of the Alps.
In 2010, Harald von der Ems founded RatgeberTV for secondary use of his television material. For this purpose, the areas of travel, wellness and health were released from the archive for the new media. The rapidly increasing market demand for moving images has meanwhile turned secondary utilization into an independent production. RatgeberTV (2015) produced and published up to 1000 news articles a year from the areas of lifestyle, travel, wellness & health, colorful, motor and sport.
In the meantime, many entertainment and user portals such as Strato, ARCOR, Freenet, FOCUS, itinTV, Travador, BRAVO, Vodafone, its4families, Web.de, News.de, Dine & Fine, Channel 21, WomenWeb, Travel24 are using the new media and many other publishers the specially produced short-form content on the web as moving images. However, exclusive partners from the TV sector were also supplied with white label contributions.
Harald von der Ems left the operational business of tourTV and RatgeberTV in 2016 and has only worked as a tourism and media consultant since then.
