AMPA receptor 1 (also ionotropic glutamate receptor of AMPA type subunit 1 ) is a protein and AMPA receptor from the group of ionotropic glutamate receptors .

properties

The AMPA receptor 1 is a receptor with ion channel for cations and is in the brain formed. After the binding of L-glutamate , a conformational change occurs , which briefly opens the ion channel and creates an action potential . Inactivation takes place even when the ligand is bound . The receptor is reactivated by CACNG4 , CACNG7 or CACNG8 . The AMPA receptor 1 has disulfide bridges and is glycosylated , palmitoylated and phosphorylated .
