The APF TV Fun series is a series of stationary Pong - clone - consoles of the first generation of consoles made by APF Electronics, Inc. develops and starting from 1976 in Japan were produced. The consoles are some of the first to incorporate the AY-3-8500 ("Pong on a chip") video game circuit from the US company General Instrument . A total of eight different APF TV Fun consoles were released.
APF TV Fun 401 and APF TV Fun 401a

The first models of the APF TV Fun consoles called APF TV Fun 401 and APF TV Fun 401a appeared in April 1976 and, thanks to the integrated AY-3-8500, can play four integrated games ( pong , soccer , squash and practice ). The consoles also have a speaker built into the console and two paddles attached to the console .
APF TV Fun 405
The APF TV Fun 405 published in February 1977 offers three integrated games, all of which are designed for two players: tennis / table tennis , hockey / football and squash.
APF TV Fun 500
The APF TV Fun 500 remained in development and was not released.
