Friedrich Lehne von Lehnsheim

Friedrich Maria Ferdinand Freiherr Lehne von Lehnsheim (* January 8, 1870 in Vienna ; † July 7, 1951 in Grundlsee ) was an Austrian civil servant and in 1918 briefly head of the Imperial and Royal Ministry of National Defense .

After attending grammar school, Friedrich Lehne von Lehnsheim studied law at the University of Vienna and graduated with a doctorate . In 1893/94 he served as a one-year volunteer with Corps Artillery Regiment No. 2 . After practicing weapons, he reached the rank of "Lieutenant in the reserve" in 1897.

In February 1893 he joined the Lower Austrian Lieutenancy as a concept intern and was called up to the Ministry of Education in April 1895. In the same year he was transferred to the Ministry of National Defense. From 1914 he headed the political section there. In 1916 he was appointed section head .

From October 27, 1918 to November 11, 1918 he was entrusted with the management of the Ministry of National Defense in the Lammasch Ministry. On December 1, 1918, he was retired as a civil servant.

In the First Republic from May 1919 to 1923 he was called upon to collaborate on the implementing provisions for the Invaliden Compensation Act. From June 1919 to 1923 he was entrusted by the Governor of Lower Austria with the chairmanship of the Disability Compensation Commission.

Friedrich Lehne was married and had three children. One of his two sons was the lawyer Friedrich Lehne .
