The General Sports Club Rimpar 1894 is a German sports club from Rimpar in Lower Franconia .
history
In July 1894 the Rimpar gymnastics club was founded . This merged in 1927 with the FC Rimpar founded in 1919 to form the gymnastics and sports club Rimpar . A first success came with winning the district championship in 1932. After the Second World War brought the club's life to a standstill, the club was re-established in January 1946 as ASV Rimpar.
In 1961, ASV Rimpar was promoted to the Bavarian Amateur League , but ended the season in the third-highest division in the northern season on a relegation zone. Due to a restructuring due to the grouping of the league into a season, which also extended to the underlying game levels, the club was downgraded to fifth division in 1963. It was not until 1984 that they returned to the fourth-class Bavarian State League , in which the team stayed until 1987. After the leagues were downgraded again, the club appeared again several times in the state league from the 2000s onwards, in 2012 the team only missed the return to the amateur league, which is now the Bayern league, in the promotion round.
