ATI Radeon 7000 series
The Radeon 7000 series is a series of desktop graphics chips from ATI Technologies and the successor to the Rage series . It is the first generation of graphics processors with the name ATI Radeon . It was replaced by the ATI Radeon 8000 series .
Graphics processors
Different graphics processors are used within the Radeon 7000 series, which differ in terms of production technology and 3D capabilities. A new development compared to the ATI Rage series was HyperZ for more efficient use of memory.

Naming
The R100 was originally developed under the code name Rage6C , but ATI then decided on a new retail name in order to be able to get rid of the bad image of the Rage series.

- The specified clock rates are those recommended or specified by ATI. However, the final determination of the clock rates is in the hands of the respective graphics card manufacturer and there are graphics card models that have different clock rates. A record of all actual models would go far beyond the article.
