A Bu
A Bu (actually Dai Liang , * 1999 in Beijing ) is a Chinese jazz pianist and composer .
Life
A Bu studied classical piano and jazz piano at the Central Conservatory Beijing and from September 2014 at the Juilliard School in New York . In 2015 he won 1st prize in the solo piano competition at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland .
The pianist is also committed to music inspired by jazz. So he brought on 21 November 2016 in Moscow Nikolai Kapustins Nocturne in G Major for Piano and Orchestra , Op. 16 of 1972 for the premiere, accompanied by the Moscow Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Igor Butman .
