A luta continua

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A luta continua (Portuguese; German  The fight goes on ) was a political catchphrase of the FRELIMO during the Mozambican War of Independence . The East Timorese resistance against the Indonesian occupation (1975–1999) also adopted this phrase, which is now a household word in the small island nation . The Australian composer Martin Wesley-Smith took up the sentence and created the piece of music "A Luta Continua", with which he thematized the struggle of the East Timorese against the Indonesians.

The phrase , as in the German-speaking countries, also in English ( the struggle Continues / the fight goes on) use.
