Aa is one of the Shebtiu creator gods of ancient Egypt . Within the creation myths, he made the first reed together with Wai and won the first land as soon as it emerged from the primeval water .

Aa and Wai are mentioned together in inscriptions in the Temple of Horus at Edfu .
