Aaron Joseph Seigo (* 1975 in British Columbia , Canada ) has been involved in the development of KDE for many years and has played a key role in its development as an organization for the promotion of Free Software .

Life

Aaron J. Seigo was born in 1975 on the northern coast of British Columbia , Canada .

He lived for a long time in Vancouver , British Columbia , Canada . Since 2000 he has been involved in the KDE project and since 2002 in the KDE usability project. In 2004 he was introduced as an important person for the KDE project. Since 2005 he has been working full-time as a professional developer for the former Norwegian company Trolltech in the area of ​​application and further development of the Qt program library . He was the chief developer of Plasma and made a significant contribution to the public awareness of Free Software. He gave many interviews and was often at IT conferences such as LinuxTag and the aKademy.

He has a son who was born at the turn of the millennium.

From 2005 to 2007 he was a member of the board of directors and then until 2009 President of KDE e. V.

After moving to Europe, he lives in Switzerland and has worked for Kolab Systems since the beginning of 2015 . In 2018 he works for the nomoko company .
