Aaronowzy
The Aaronowzy ( Russian Аароновцы , wiss. Transliteration Aaronovcy ) were a, after the nickname Aaron of Andrei Zhukov ( Андрей Жуков ; † 1798), Russian denomination in the second half of the 18th century to the 19th century, named after its founder Onufri ( Онуфри ) in Russia also under the name Onufrijewschtschina ( Онуфриевщина / Onufrievščina ) is known. It was widespread in the Arkhangelsk and Vologda Oblasts . Its members recognized marriage and opposed extreme asceticism .
