Aart Vierhouten
Aart Vierhouten (born March 19, 1970 in Ermelo ) is a former Dutch cyclist .
Aart Vierhouten became a professional cyclist in 1996. He started at the Olympic Games in Atlanta and finished 56th in the road race . He drove for Rabobank for six years before switching to Lotto . In 1997 he won a stage of the Rhineland-Palatinate Tour , and in 2000 he celebrated his first overall success at Groningen-Münster . Vierhouten has taken part in the Tour de France three times, nine times in the UCI road world championships . From 2006 he rode for the Dutch cycling team Skil-Shimano .
Vierhouten ended his career at the end of the 2009 season. Today (2013) he is the Dutch national coach of the juniors / road as well as a cycling commentator on Dutch television.
