Abako motorcycle 130 cc from 1925

Abako was a little common German motorcycle that was built between 1923 and 1925 at Apparatebau AG Kracker & Co. , Siegfriedstrasse 9–17 in Nuremberg by Samuel Felix Weikersheimer.

It was a 129-cm³- cylinder - two-stroke engine , Sturmey-Archer gearbox and chain drive equipped. The engine, which Abako designed himself, already had three transfer ports and an output of 2.6 hp. A version with 119 cm³ followed later. The very light construction of 55 kg together with progressive details such as chain drive to the rear wheel and drum brake in the front wheel enabled some notable racing successes.

In 1925 , Hans Gradl from Nuremberg won the triangle trip in the Erzgebirge on the Marienberg triangle behind Walfried Winkler ( DKW ) in second place in the class up to 175 cm³ as well as in the Tour of Germany . At the Stuttgart Solitude , he even won the class up to 175 cm³.

Johann Adam Vogler took over Abako after bankruptcy in 1925 and continued building the Abako until 1929 with a few changes. Vogler also produced the Javon motorcycles in Nuremberg.
