Life

Flemming Andersen was born on June 2, 1968 in Copenhagen and was fascinated by Storm P. , a Danish cartoonist, and later Belgian parodist , even as a child . Even as a schoolboy he wanted to be a comic artist, so after finishing school and completing his military service he looked for a job with an advertising agency. In doing so, he happened to be told that Egmont Ehapa Verlag was looking for comic artists and applied, whereupon he was hired in 1991.

In the years that followed, Andersen devoted himself to intensive studies in order to perfect his style. To this day he draws comics for the Funny Paperback and Mickey Mouse magazine . Since 1999 illustrations for books have been added. Since 2016 he has also been drawing Disney comics for the Dutch publisher Sanoma.

Style and role models

Andersen's comics are very action-packed and sometimes even flashy, which makes them highly recognizable . He almost exclusively draws the Ducks, these in funny paperbacks and Mickey Mouse magazines, where he contributed numerous puzzle comics, for example.
