Abbe is a small moon crater on the southern hemisphere on the far side of the moon . It lies south of the Hess crater and east of the Poincaré .
The outer rim of the crater is slightly eroded and several small craters lie on the northwest and southwest rims. The inner surface is relatively flat, but has some smaller craters.
