The Abbotsmith Glacier is a 5 km long glacier on the island Heard that from the ice-covered western flank of the volcano Big Ben in a westerly direction between the Walsh Bluff and the Henderson Bluff flows.
It was mapped in 1948 as part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions . The glacier is named after the engineer John Abbotsmith, a member of the expedition.
