The Henderson Bluff is a rock cliff south of the mouth zone of Abbotsmith glacier on the west side of the island Heard in the southern Indian Ocean .
Mapped and named in 1948 by participants in the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions . It is named after the meteorologist MW Henderson, who was stationed on the island as part of the 1954 expedition.
