Abdallah al-Hubal

Abdallah al-Hubal (* 1955 , † August 16, 1998 in Bayt al-Faqīh ) was the only known Yemeni serial killer .

After killing seven people after Yemeni reunification in 1990, he was imprisoned in Aden , but was able to flee after a short time. He could not be found until the beginning of August 1998, when he killed a couple and three other people in Bayt al-Faqīh . According to the police, the latter were witnesses to the first two murders committed there. On August 16, 1998, a gun battle broke out between al-Hubal and the police, in the course of which he killed one police officer and injured several others before he was shot himself.
