Covering (construction)
Covering means covering something in construction and craft, protecting against the effects of the weather by taking suitable measures or concealing technical equipment with a cladding for aesthetic reasons.

For covering, materials are used to protect building materials and components from harmful influences such as moisture , cold , heat , light or from mechanical stress. The material must be used according to the respective requirement. For use cover sheets , tarpaulins , cover profiles and cover plates .
To openings, e.g. B. shafts hedge or floor openings are also Cover Panels , Abdeckbohlen and gratings used. For certain covering tasks, there are covering systems that cope with several different influences and loads in a combination of components and building materials.
For aesthetic reasons, the exit points are covered by pipes from the wall ( push rosette ).
To cover mounting holes in metal covers of weathered components used Hauer hump .
