Abdi-Aširta
Abdi-Aširta (also Abdi-Aschirta or Abdi-Ašratu ) is a prince of Amurru known from the Amarna letters , who lived around 1380 BC. . BC ruled. He was primarily responsible for the security of the ancient Egyptian provincial capital, Sumuru . With Rib-Addi he fought for supremacy in Amurru and took the towns of Ambia , Sigata , Irqata and Batruna against it . Abdi-Aširta is also said to have murdered several city princes and planned an assassination attempt on Rib-Addi. Little is known about its end. He was succeeded by his sons Pubaḫla , Niqmepa and Aziru .
