Abdon ( Hebrew עַבְדּוֹן, on duty), the son of Hillel from Piraton , was the 10th judge of Israel listed in the Book of Judges . Abdon belonged to the tribe of Ephraim . He is said to have had 40 sons and 30 grandchildren who rode 70 donkey fills. Abdon ruled Israel for eight years. After his death he was buried on the Amalekiterberg in the land of Ephraim. The Bible reports nothing about his deeds ( Judges 12 : 13–15  EU ).
