Abdul Patah Unang

Abdul Patah Unang (* 1937 ) is a former Indonesian badminton player .

Career

AP Unang belonged to the Indonesian Thomas Cup team in 1964 and 1967 , which won this world championship for men's teams in the first year mentioned . In 1964 he lost with Tan King Gwan in the final against Denmark against Finn Kobberø and Jørgen Hammergaard Hansen , but won against Erland Kops and Henning Borch . Three years later he played in the final against Malaysia with Darmawan Supatera against Tan Yee Khan and Ng Boon Bee and clearly lost this match in straight sets.

He celebrated his greatest successes in the individual disciplines in the men's doubles in 1962 with Tutang Djamaluddin and in 1966 with Tan King Gwan at the Asian Games , when he won the bronze medal.
