Abdu l-Wahid Aziz ( Arabic عبد الواحد عزيز, DMG ʿAbdu l-Wāḥid ʿAzīz , also Abdul Wahid ; * 1931 ; † 1982 ) was an Iraqi weightlifter .
Career
Abdu l-Wahid Aziz celebrated his greatest success at the Olympic Summer Games in 1960 , where he was able to achieve a bronze medal in the weight class up to 67.5 kg with a performance of 380 kg. So far he has won the only Olympic medal for Iraq.
He also won a bronze medal at the 1959 World Championships with 362.5 kg.
