Abdulla Mahmudovich Bugayev

Abdulla Machmudowitsch Bugajew ( Kazakh Абдулла Махмудович Бугаев ; born January 1, 1949 in Kazakh SSR ) is a Chechen politician and was the presidential candidate of the opposition in the controversial elections in August 2004 .

Bugayev went into the running as one of the few approved candidates for the opposition and received six percent of the vote. In the disputed election whose regularity is not by official election observers was accompanied from abroad, he came into his own stronghold in the northwestern Nadteretschny -Bezirk to only one percent of the vote.

The candidate Alu Dadashevich Alkhanov , supported by the Kremlin , won the presidential elections with 74 percent, while Abdulla Bugayev has officially appealed against the election.
