Evening mail / night edition

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Abendpost / Nachtausgabe was a tabloid with an editorial office in Frankfurt am Main . It was created in 1966 after the Abendpost , which had been published since October 1948, was taken over by the Frankfurter Societäts-Druckerei , which merged its Frankfurt night edition , which had been published since September 1949, with the Abendpost to form the evening mail / night edition .

The Abendpost was originally published by the publisher of the Offenbach-Post , Udo Bintz , until he passed it on to the revue publisher Helmut Kindler and the trustee of “Concentration GmbH” (a merger of SPD or SPD-related newspapers), Herbert But sold. Kindler, in turn, later sold his shares in Allerdt until the evening mail finally went to the Frankfurt Societäts-Druckerei.

On December 12, 1988, the evening post / night edition was discontinued due to the reduced circulation (most recently below 130,000 copies).
