Udo Bintz
Udo Bintz (born January 17, 1903 in Hamburg ; † April 9, 1979 ) was a German publisher and editor .
Life
Udo Bintz grew up in Berlin and trained as a publishing clerk in Dessau and Amsterdam ; In the USA he got to know Ullstein Verlag and worked for the publishing house. During the war years he worked in the public relations department at Bayer AG in Leverkusen .
With a license from the American military government, he became the sole license holder of the " Offenbach Post " in 1947 . 1955 merged the own Bintz publishing house with the Seibold'schen Druckerei Dohany to "Bintz-Verlag GmbH und Dohany Druck oHG" and later traded under the name Verlag Bintz-Dohany . In the early 1970s he handed the publishing house over to his son Peter Udo Bintz as "Pressehaus Bintz-Verlag GmbH & Co. KG". He was also a partner in the German Press Agency (dpa).
Bintz was the Royal Greek Honorary Consul since 1960 . In 1968 he was honored with the Great Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany .
