Abinergaos I.
Abinergaos I (or Abinerglos I) was a King of the Charakene .
Four of his coins are known to have been dated to the years 10/11, 11/12, 13/14 and 22/23 AD and show the ruler on one side and Heracles on the other. The ruler is also mentioned by Josephus , who reports that Monobazos I , King of Adiabene , sent his heir to the throne Izates to the Charakene, where he converted to Judaism.
Orabazes I is documented in an inscription from Palmyra as ruler of the Charakene for the year 18/19 AD . The rule of Abinergaos I was thus interrupted by that of another ruler. The reasons for this are unknown.
