Abobas
Abobas ( Greek Ἀβώβας ) is the name of the Phrygian-Greek god Adonis in the Pamphylian city of Perge .
While the name has been identified on the one hand with the well-known form of the name Aoas or Awowas ( Ἀώας, Ἀϝωϝας ), it was also associated with a form of Syrian flutes called Abub or Anbub , after which the Ambubajen are said to have been named. Karl Tümpel assumes that it is an originally Greek name that denotes a Paredros of the goddess Eos (in the name form Awos , Greek Ἄϝως ).
