The Gleueler Bach is a small brook that has its source near Gleuel and flows towards Cologne in a west-east direction . Today it flows into the Cologne Rand Canal .
Similar to the brooks Duffesbach , Bachemer Bach , Frechener Bach and Pulheimer Bach , it played an important role in the Middle Ages for the water supply and the drive of water mills in the Rhine-Erft area on the left bank of the Rhine. It flowed to Kriel , where it seeped into the Rhine gravel.
