Aboim is a municipality in northern Portugal .
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities Aboim, Chapa and Vila Garcia were merged to form the new municipality União das Freguesias de Vila Garcia, Aboim e Chapa .

A three-tower wall crown rests on the shield . In the white band at the base of the shield, the place name in black letters "ABOIM - AMARANTE"
