Aboubakr Lbida

Aboubakr Al-Seddik Al-Lbida (born January 26, 1980 in Hay Hassani , Grand Casablanca ) is a Moroccan amateur boxer and 2012 bantamweight Olympic participant .

Career

In 2005 he won the African Championships Zone 1 and was then qualified for the All African Championships in Morocco, where he won the silver medal. He also won a bronze medal at the Mediterranean Games in Spain in 2005.

In 2007 he reached a third place each at the Arab Championships in Tunisia and the Arab Military Championships in Algeria. He made another third place at the African Championships in Mauritius in 2009.

In 2011, he won the Arab Games in Qatar and finished second in the Arab Championships that year. After a third place at the Olympic test tournament in England in 2011, he started at the African Olympic qualification in Casablanca . There he won the gold medal with victories against Martin Aluoch from Kenya, Jonas Matheus from Namibia, Romeo Lemboumba from Gabon and Isaac Dogboe from Ghana. At the subsequent Olympic Games in London in 2012 , however, he lost in the first fight just 16: 16+ against the Australian Ibrahim Balla.
