Abraham Bosse

Abraham Bosse (pron. Boss') (* around 1604 in Tours ; † February 1 or 14, 1676 in Paris ) was a French engraver and etcher.

Bosse designed many sheets with descriptions of ceremonies, festivals and scenes from popular life. He probably engraved Jacques Gomboust's large city map of Paris . As a friend of the architect and mathematician Gérard Desargues , he presented some of his ideas in popular form.
