Abraham Kalisker
Abraham Kalisker , actually Abraham ben Alexander ha-Kohen Kalisk ( Hebrew אברהם אלכסנדר הכהן; born around 1741, died in Tiberias in 1810 ) was an important leader of the Hasidim in Lithuania and Tiberias.
Abraham was a student of the Maggid of Mesritsch . After his death in 1772 he was one of the most important Hasidim in Lithuania. In 1777 he emigrated to Palestine with Menachem Mendel from Horodok and 300 Hasidim. In 1788, after his death, he became the leader of the Hasidim in Tiberias. He died on January 9, 1810 in Tiberias.
