Abraham Léon
Abram Leon (born in 1918 in Warsaw as Abraham Wejnstok ; died 7. October 1944 in Auschwitz ) was a Jewish communist .
Léon grew up in Belgium and became a leading member of the Zionist youth movement Hashomer Hatzair . In 1940 he broke with Zionism and joined the Belgian section of the Trotskyist Fourth International . Actively involved in underground work in Belgian factories and in anti-fascist propaganda among German soldiers, Léon was arrested in June 1944 and deported to Auschwitz. There he was murdered a little later in the gas chamber .
