Abrincatui

The Abrincatui were a Gallic tribe ( Plin. Iv. 18), not mentioned by Iulius Caesar , whose border was near the Curiosolites . The city of Ingena , which belongs to the tribe and is named in the Notitia dignitatum Abrincatae , passed its name on to the Avranches . The tribe's territory is believed to correspond to the territory of today's Avranchin .
