Hugo Schwarz

Hugo Curt Bohemund Schwarz (born November 7, 1817 in Trachenberg , † August 28, 1897 in Sellin ) was a German judge .

Life

In 1840 the Catholic Schwarz was sworn in and was a trainee lawyer. In 1845 he was a court assessor in Breslau. In 1846 he became a councilor at the Trachenberg Principality Court . In 1854 he was appointed district judge in Trachtenberg and in 1860 district court director. In 1863 he was promoted to the appellate judge in Breslau. In 1872 he was appointed to the Council of the Upper Tribunal in Berlin . In 1879 he came to the newly established Imperial Court . First he worked as an assistant judge in the II. Auxiliary Senate , then in 1880 he became a councilor in the III. Criminal senate . In 1892 he retired. He died in 1897 of a weak heart and was buried in the Johannes cemetery in Leipzig .

His parents were the Trachenberg mayor and city judge Ludwig Schwarz (1770-1846) and Johanna Krocker, a daughter of the Wroclaw botanist and doctor Anton Johann Krocker (1744-1779). He was a cousin of the painter Carl Friedrich Lessing . His father had a small literary circle in which Karl von Holtei was a member ( forty years ). He was married to Agnes Brier († 1881). The couple had no children.
