Abusupiyan "Abus" Magomedov (born September 2, 1990 in Dagestan ) is a Russian-German professional mixed martial arts fighter in the middleweight division of Dagestan origin. He is currently number one in his weight class in Germany. He gained international fame primarily through appearances in the Professional Fighters League , where he fought his way through to the finals in the 2018 season.
Beginnings
Abus Magomedov began to wrestle as a child . The tradition of martial arts in Dagestan as well as the personal affinity led him to dedicate himself to this sport as a professional. After his family emigrated to Germany, Abus Magomedov expanded his skills, including a. through kickboxing . At the age of 20 he became a professional mixed martial arts fighter.
Career and accomplishments
Before his international breakthrough, Magomedov u. a. five times at the German MMA Championship (GMC). In 2013 he secured the German MMA championship welterweight title with an early victory over today's UFC fighter Jessin Ayari . He currently has a professional score of 23-4-1 with 18 early wins. The athlete trains at the UFD-Gym in Düsseldorf and is currently under contract with Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki .
