Achim Ebert

Georg Achim Ebert (born May 8, 1940 in Wuppertal ) is a German social worker.

Career

Ebert completed his studies at the University of Cologne in 1967 with a degree in business administration. He then worked for the Herberts paint factory in Wuppertal. In 1971 he moved to the Stocko metal goods factories. In 1974 he also took over the honorary position of chairman of the supervisory board of Evangelische Altenhilfe gGmbh Wuppertal-Ronsdorf.

In 1982 he was employed by Mildred Scheel as managing director of the German Cancer Aid . In the 20 years of his activity, he shaped the development of the association into one of the largest private organizations in the German health care system. On June 30, 2002, he resigned from his post as part of a reorganization of the advisory and decision-making bodies of Cancer Aid.

After that he was managing director of the ZNS - Hannelore Kohl Foundation and spokesman for the nationally organized working group "Rehabilitation and Aftercare" until 2007 .
