Achim Tüttenberg

Achim Tüttenberg (born July 26, 1959 in Troisdorf in the Rhein-Sieg district ) is a politician of the SPD and between 2005 and 2010 and from 2012 to 2017 a member of the Rhein-Sieg district in the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Life

After graduating from high school, Tüttenberg studied law in Bonn . In 1976 he joined the SPD. In 1990 he became the full-time managing director of the SPD in the Rhein-Sieg district. In this function he was responsible for the coordination of the SPD in the 19 towns and cities of the district.

From 1979 to 1989 and since 1994 he has been a member of the Troisdorf City Council. Most recently, he was re-elected in 2014 with over 70% in the Altenrath constituency. Since 1989 Tüttenberg has also been a member of the district council of Rhein-Rhein-Sieg. In 1999 Achim Tüttenberg was elected deputy district administrator of the Rhein-Sieg district. He held this position until 2009. As a member of the district council, he is active in the committee for regional economic and structural development. In the local elections in 2009 Tüttenberg ran as a candidate for the office of district administrator in the Rhein-Sieg district against the incumbent Frithjof Kühn , but did not win the election with 28.3% of the votes cast.

From 1994 to 2004 he represented the SPD as a member of the Rhenish Landscape Assembly ( LVR ). Tüttenberg has been a member of the regional council of the Cologne administrative district since 2001, where he is deputy chairman of the SPD parliamentary group and spokesman for the transport projects in the Rhein-Sieg district.

Since the state election on May 22, 2005, Tüttenberg was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia and a member of the committee for building and transport as well as the sports committee. In the 2010 election he did not return to the state parliament. In the state elections in 2012, he won the state electoral district of Rhein-Sieg-Kreis IV as a direct candidate . He chaired the Committee on Budgetary Control and was a full member of the Committee on Building, Housing, Urban Development and Transport. He is no longer a member of the state parliament elected in 2017.

Tüttenberg is married, has two children and lives in Altenrath , a district of Troisdorf, of which he is the mayor.
