Georgia Langhans

Georgia Langhans (born July 4, 1947 in Lauenburg / Elbe ) is a German politician. From 2002 to 2008 she was a member of the Lower Saxony State Parliament . She is married and has two kids.

education and profession

After graduating from the state boarding high school Schloss Plön , Langhans studied veterinary medicine. In 1970 she trained as a veterinary assistant and then worked at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Hanover until she moved into the state parliament .

politics

Langhans has been a member of the Greens since the 1980s . From 1991 to 2012 she was councilor of the city of Celle and from 1996 to 2002 chairwoman of the local Green parliamentary group. On October 23, 2002 she moved into the Lower Saxony state parliament as a replacement for Silke Stokar von Neuforn and has been secretary since 2003. Langhans is a member of Verdi and the BUND .
