Acupari
The Asociación Cultural Peruano Alemana (ACUPARI) is a German-Peruvian language school and meeting place in Cusco , Peru .
history
The non-profit association was founded on October 10, 1990. With the aim of promoting intercultural dialogue , the association offers a language course program for German, Spanish and Quechua . In addition to the lessons, there is joint learning with local tandems and partners, cultural events and the opportunity to socialize. Some of the cultural contributions are co-financed by the Federal Foreign Office . The director is the German honorary consul in Cusco, Maria Jürgens de Hermoza.
Language courses
The lessons are interculturally oriented and based on the principle of communicative language teaching with interactive and varied methods. The content corresponds to the guidelines of the Common European Framework of Reference .
- German as a foreign language in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut Lima
- Spanish for beginners and advanced learners
- Quechua courses, the scope of the language is supplemented by visits to markets and Andean village communities.
- Tandem program
Following a language course, there are opportunities to work in a Peruvian institution and make a social contribution as an intern or volunteer .
Events
Events include tandem, salsa dancing, Peruvian cooking . In addition, the association organizes and sponsors cultural events with German and Peruvian artists, mostly in cooperation with other local cultural institutions.
The cultural institute has a small library which, in addition to books and magazines in German, has information about Peru.
