Adèle von Wedderkop
Julia Carolina Adolfina Adèle Cordelia von Wedderkop (* October 7, 1792 , † probably 1871 in the Preetz Monastery in Preetz ) was a Swedish canoness and painter .
Life
Wedderkop was the first daughter of Magnus von Wedderkop and Cordelia von Wedderkop. Her father was a captain and district administrator in the Duchy of Schleswig and her mother a painter and caricaturist . Her younger brother was the lawyer and writer Theodor von Wedderkop . After her parents divorced, she also became a half-sister of the Swedish doctor Fredrik August Cederschjöld. Her "unusually strong landscape painting in a natural style and with great beauty" in watercolors is mentioned in the collection of Captain Carl Axel Odelberg in the Nordic Museum .
