Ada Egede-Nissen , also Ada Kramm or Ada van Ehlers (born March 14, 1899 in Vardø , † December 17, 1981 in Oslo , Norway ) was a Norwegian actress.

Life

Ada Egede-Nissen was born in Vardø as the daughter of the Norwegian politician Adam Egede-Nissen and his wife Wilhelma Ellertsen. She had ten siblings, six of whom were also actors: Aud Egede-Nissen (1893–1974), Gerd Grieg (1895–1988), Oscar Egede-Nissen (1903–1976), Stig Egede-Nissen (1907–1988), Lil Egede-Nissen (1909–1962), Gøril Havrevold (1914–1992). At the age of eleven, the family moved to Stavanger , and Ada Egede-Nissen began her acting training there. In 1916 she made her stage debut.

She died in 1981 at the age of 82 and was buried in the Vestre Gravlund cemetery in Oslo.
