The Ada Public Library (also known as Ada Arts and Heritage Center ) is a historic former library building in Ada in Pontotoc County , in the US state of Oklahoma . The building is on South Rennie Avenue at number 400.

The library was founded on January 5, 1936 and was located in a room in Old City Hall until the current building was completed in 1939 . In 1981 the library moved to a new building, the old building now houses the Ada Arts and Heritage Center Museum . The architecture of the building is based on the Colonial Revival design. The foundation is made of concrete , the walls are made of brick , and the roof is laid with ceramic tiles . Other building materials include metal and stone.

The architect was Albert S. Ross, the contract was awarded to the Chapman Construction Company .

The Ada Public Library was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 13, 1989 under number 89001950 .
