Adalbert Brunner

Adalbert Brunner (born September 20, 1921 in Munich ; † January 16, 2013 ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

After graduating from high school, six years of military service and studying in Munich, Brunner worked from 1950 as a high school teacher in the subjects of German, history and geography. In 1964 he completed another degree in social studies with the state examination and last worked in this subject as a seminar teacher. He was a founding member of the German Association for Political Education and its federal chairman from 1965 to 1969, after which he was a member of the advisory board. He participated in the expansion of political education and the associated teacher training, was chairman of the parents 'council at elementary schools and later spokesman for the parents' councils of the Munich community schools, in this function he contributed to the establishment of the Christian community school in Bavaria . The founding and board member of the Bavarian Parents' Association was a member of the state parliament from 1970 to 1978.
