Adalbert Jordan

Adalbert Jordan (born October 3, 1937 in Hanover ; † March 27, 2004 ) was a German building contractor and football official. He was a board member of the German Football Association and President of Borussia Mönchengladbach.

career

In 1966, Jordan completed a university degree in civil engineering at RWTH Aachen University . From 1967 he was responsible for the town planning of the city of Mönchengladbach and also sat in the building department. In 1994 Jordan received his doctorate from the Academy of Economics in Moscow .

Jordan was President of Borussia Mönchengladbach from September 8, 1999 until his death . During this time he made a significant contribution to the realization of Borussia Park and to the financial consolidation of the club. A street near the stadium was named after Jordan.
