Bettina Würth

Bettina Würth (born October 9, 1961 in Schwäbisch Hall ) is a German and Swiss manager. She is the chairwoman of the Advisory Board of the Würth Group .

Life

Bettina Würth is the second of three children of entrepreneurs Carmen and Reinhold Würth . In 1978 she dropped out of school and moved to Munich , where she temporarily worked as an educator in the Hasenbergl . In 1984 she returned, completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk in her parents' company and worked in various subsidiaries of the Würth Group. In 1996 she founded the live communications agency marbet Marion & Bettina Würth GmbH & Co. KG together with her sister Marion . In addition to the core business events & incentives, the company organizes business and group trips. After various responsible positions in the family company, Bettina Würth became a member of the Würth Group's management in 2001. In 2006, she took over the office of Chairwoman of the Advisory Board of the Würth Group from her father. The Advisory Board is the highest body in the Würth Group (comparable to a Supervisory Board ) and monitors the business strategy and personnel planning; it appoints and dismisses the management.

Bettina Würth is married and a mother of four. By marrying a Swiss citizen, she also acquired Swiss citizenship in addition to German and became a citizen of Appenzell . Bettina Würth lives (as of 2011) in Switzerland.

  • since 2006 chairwoman of the advisory board of the Würth Group

Social Commitment

Bettina Würth is the initiator of the Anne-Sophie Free School, named after a daughter who died in childhood , a reform pedagogical school in the Taläcker district of Künzelsau . The school is run by the charitable Würth Foundation .

She is also a member of the board of trustees for the German Childhood Cancer Follow-up Foundation for the Chronically Ill Child , which is committed to the follow-up care of chronically ill children and their families.
