Adam Offinger († around 1600) was a German painter.

Adam Offinger probably came from a family of goldsmiths in Nördlingen or Regensburg . From 1580 he was a painter at the court of Duke Heinrich Julius of Braunschweig . In addition to medallions with portraits, several paintings by him are known, such as the painting in the Christ Church in Hasserode . This crucifixion picture ( crucifixion in the crowd ) was originally intended as an altarpiece for the Barbara or castle chapel in Gröningen in 1598 and was only sold to Hasserode in 1847. A similar picture of him is in the church in Ampfurth .

In the St. Johanniskirche in Pommelte there is also a wooden altarpiece from his workshop. Further works can be found in the Sankt-Stephanus-Kirche in Schermcke. A painting in the village church of Ummendorf is also attributed to him.

Offinger is considered a student of Lucas Cranach and often signed his pictures with A O.
