Adelberta Reinhart

Sister Maria Adelberta Reinhart CPS (born June 4, 1917 in Wargolshausen , † December 6, 2008 in Aarle-Rixtel , Netherlands ) was Superior General of the Mariannhill Missionary Sisters .

Life

Born as Rosa Reinhart, she entered the monastery of the Missionary Sisters of the Precious Blood in Neuenbeken in 1935 . When she was dressed in 1939, she received the religious name Maria Adelberta and made her perpetual profession in 1943 . Then she worked as a teacher in the mission in Kenya, only interrupted by studying in Pietermaritzburg . From 1964 to 1971 she was Provincial of the East African Province of her Order. Sister Adelberta was Superior General of her order from 1971 to 1986, based in Rome. After her term of office she worked from 1986 to 1999 as superior in the Dutch province of Tienray . After that she lived in the mother house of her order in Aarle-Rixtel.
